Forefront International Corporation is proud of its highly trained and carefully selected team of language and culture experts from all around the world. It is our strong team that sets us apart in the field of language and cross cultural services.

We started our first year as specialist for Europe and very soon grew to all major world language thanks to word of mouth advertisement through our customers.

Our business has been growing  steadily over the years, one satisfied customer at a time. In this way, the growth of Forefront International has been sustainable, adding new languages and culture services as the time was ripe and new qualified team members were hired.

After nearly 30 years we now offer our services in more than 90 languages and cultures. Thanks to our expansive network of professional experts we now work with a successful team from around the world, most of whom are native speakers, near fluent and live(d) abroad. We work with a great variety of specialists, most of whom we have known for years.

Because we know our team so well we know exactly where each team member’s strengths lie. For example, one is a lawyer who can translate legal texts meticulously, the other has a background in marketing and will be able to find the right tone for a website. One language teacher’s strength lies in how clearly she can explain complicated grammar, the other is an expert in getting his students involved in conversations. Depending on our customer’s needs and goals we are able to make an excellent match with someone from our diverse team. Because no translator is equally adept in technical, legal and creative writing and because some teachers work better with certain learning styles we don’t let coincidence decide who will take on a particular assignment.

Most language schools use one teaching method for all their students. Forefront International does not. We recognize that adults learn foreign languages best in substantially different ways. For example, some prefer a very structured, grammatical approach, others a more intuitive, interactive approach. Our language instructors are trained in various successful language learning methods, so our language classes are custom tailored to meet your needs. Your learning style and the proficiency level which you aim to achieve will determine the method by which you are taught, and not the other way around. We have been offering live online classes successfully for numerous years.

Foreign language instruction at Forefront International is flexible:

We will gladly provide you with a certificate upon completion of your course. We work and certify according to the CEFR, The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Forefront International offers a wide range of interpretation services in all the major world languages. These services include the following types of interpreting:

Our interpreters will work with you in person or over the telephone, in a conference setting or in a court. They are able to work with conference interpretation technologies, such as headphones or interpreters’ booths and they can work in situations where such technological support is not available or not necessary, including law firms or courts.

Our interpreters are experts in a wide variety of professions, including, but not limited to, the technical, business and legal fields. Our legal interpreters are certified in court interpreting and are very experienced in interpreting during depositions and for other legal purposes at international law firms.

A sampling of the situations in which our experts have interpreted for our clients includes global conferences, international media events, press weeks, trade shows and exhibitions, conventions and corporate meetings and diverse kinds of training sessions.

Cross-cultural workshops for corporate individuals and teams doing business abroad

Our cross-cultural workshops for businesses aim to develop awareness between people who do not share a common cultural framework, yet must work together effectively. These workshops are specifically designed to train global teams and employees doing business abroad.
Topics such as cross-cultural communication, conflict resolution and people management are part of the training for multi-cultural departments or teams. In addition, team-building exercises, geared toward understanding each other’s differences and similarities, are integrated into the workshops. All is done with the goal of achieving better interpersonal understanding and more effective communication within the business.
In our workshops for individuals, employees such as executives, managers or engineers doing business abroad are trained to conduct business negotiations successfully in a foreign environment. They also learn the ins and outs of the cultural challenges encountered in social settings and in specific situations, such as business meetings, presentations, trade shows and the hiring and firing of employees.

Cross-Cultural Workshops for individuals and families moving or living abroad

Forefront International Corporation offers cross-cultural workshops for employees and their families who are being relocated abroad or who are moving to this country for work. A move to a new country brings a wide range of challenges with it. Some challenges are quite obvious, like dealing with a new language; others, like knowing how to interpret a colleague’s response, are much subtler. Our workshops help people understand and prepare for these challenges by teaching them effective ways to adjust and thrive in their new cultural environment. Forefront cross-cultural workshops are taught by trainers who have experienced the culture the client is moving to or from. They understand the sometimes very subtle ways in which the new culture differs from the client’s native culture. Our workshops cover a vast number of subjects such as values, social interaction, communication styles and business practices, etiquette, protocol, negotiation styles and safety issues. All is geared to help the expat maneuver the inevitable stumbling blocks he or she will encounter in a foreign culture.

Whether it is your goal to achieve complete fluency in a foreign language or to be able to communicate at a basic level while traveling, Forefront International Corporation has a program for you.

Forefront International Corporation has been offering destination and relocation services since 2002. We have helped many families and individuals, both with getting settled in a new country and with repatriating after a stay abroad. Amongst our contract partners are three large international banks and two international freight forwarders. Our destination and relocation services are tailored to the specific wishes of the client. Sometimes the entire service package is needed, other times a few elements of the package will suffice. We mix the specialties of our language experts with those of our community experts to create the ideal package for the individual customer.

Some of the elements of our destination and relocation service package are:

• Pre-assignment assessment of needs
• Cross–cultural training prior to departure or upon arrival
• Support during a “Look and See” trip: accompanying, guiding and interpreting on location
• Support before and during the move: contact with moving company or freight forwarder, help with customs, forms, transportation and scheduling,
• Arrival support: help with formalities with the local authorities
• Translation of documents
• Escorting during house or apartment hunting, opening of bank accounts, getting social security number and driver’s licenses
• Arranging for utility start-ups
• Orientation in the community: shopping, schools, customs, leisure time activities
• Information about relevant topics such as:
